This fall, AHYBA is proud to offer an affordable fitness program to further develop young athletes. This pilot program will be led by certified personal trainers and will help us assess parent and participant interest in integrative training programs that that encompass both health-related fitness (e.g., cardiovascular and muscular endurance) and skill-related fitness (e.g., reaction time, balance, coordination, etc.). This general sport-conditioning class can benefit kids of all fitness levels and can enhance overall athletic performance in a variety of sports.

Class Description:  Speed, Strength & Stamina

Each session will include a variety of agility drills and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to help improve cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength, speed and power. Additional emphasis will be placed on:

• Proper body alignment and movement patterns to help teach kids to move more effectively and efficiently to reduce the risk of injury.
