INFORMATION ABOUT THE 2009 SEASON:

Welcome to the AHYBA Program.  We would like to give you some information on the 3^rd Grade program to answer some commonly asked questions. 

We have separate programs for 3^rd grade boys & 3^rd grade girls.  This encourages participation by as many girls & boys as possible, and allows us to optimize our facilities usage by splitting the program into two separate sessions.

The 3^rd Grade Girls program will run from approximately January 17, 2009 to March 20, 2009.  The girls enrolled in this program will receive a call from their coach sometime in mid January.

Teams in the 3^rd Grade Girls program will be formed on a geographical basis.  After the 3^rd Grade program, all other grade levels set up their teams based on competitive balance rather than geographic proximity.  The 3^rd Grade program stresses the development of fundamental skills and basic knowledge of the game. The program is conducted in a low key, non-competitive environment. 

After about 3 weeks of practice, the 3rd grade teams will play a 10 game schedule against other 3rd grade teams, with youth referees provided by the AHYBA.
